senioritis...good or bad?
Recently I have started to hear more and more people ask me if I have fallen into senioritis. I will admit to having a case of it, where school just doesnt feel as important or just isnt at the top of my list. But honestly is that such a bad thing? Maybe its bad that i'm not studying as much or spending as much time on my homework. but is it bad that instead of studying or spending hours on my homework I am spending more time with my family, outside, talking to my grandparents who I rarely talk to, and looking into things that I have never looked into because of time. I have realized that because i am not spending so much time on school work I am actually becoming less stressed out and have grown a more understanding of the world around me. I start paying attention to more current events around the world, and looking into more things that interest me on a life leverl. I have seen that I am more concious of how i act towards people and how I have started to form more political beliefs and more of my morals on how important issues should be handeled. But honeslty if i was still so worried about my school work i wouldve never realized all this stuff, and i would've never had this extra time to spend with my family who i have gotten to so much better recently. I have seen that our relationship has grown, and I definitely have become closer to my parents and siblings because of this so called bad thing "senioritis." I now understand more of what my parents are talking about, and honestly i feel that i have matured over this time. So to me senioritis isnt such a bad thing becuase i think it gives you time to look outside of the "cages" that school puts you in. I see more, i understand more, and i feel more. I am not blinded to only thinking about math tests and papers. I have expanded my horizons and have done things i never wouldve done if i didnt go trhough senioritis. I am definititely in favor of senioritis.
