The problem with Jails

This week we watched Morgan Spurlock's "30 Days" where he stayed in a Jail for thirty days to see how the jail system worked. This show really showed how screwed up the whole jail system really is. To have 2/3 of he people who get out of jail end up back in jail is kind of ridiculous. This obviously means that there's a problem and something has to change. I truly believe that more needs to be done for people who are in jail to help them rehabilitat. We put them in jail because they were a danger to society so we should then obviously make sure that when they leave they arent anymore. This is why i think that when your in jail you should be able to meet with counselors to discuss your problems and try to fix it. It's a waste of time and money to put people through jail who are just going to end up back in jail. Something needs to be done.
