Unknown children

This last week in class we have been talking and watching videos about children that have been neglected and how their behaivor is so much different than ours. This has happened because they say that without being able to talk and be around other humans they never learned how to act. What i never knew was that much of what we learned is when we are so young that we cant even remember when we learned it. I think its kind of cool the things that we learn that we take for granted. I definitely feel very thankful to have parents that care for me as much as they do. I know understand how important to interact and talk with our children because much of what they learn is by watching us and by listening to us talk. I just havent been able to understand how someone could have the heart or soul to neglect a child. How could someone live with themselves day in and day out knowing that some other living being was in the next room starving away in exile. That just blows my mind.
