Man Overboard!!!
After reenacting the story about the 16 people stranded on the lifeboat where 7 had to be kicked off, I was able to reevaluate my views on life and death. This story was another example of how when humans are in life or death situaitons they form new rules and a completely new society to help them survive. This story also woke me up to how our world treats life, and who it's more important to to survive. In our reenactment we chose to keep those that were most youthful and who had a family back home. However other cultures might of done basely of who was the stronges, or maybe who was the oldest, or maybe by the women and children. Even though they make their own society and rules, their decisions were definitely based off their culture in the other world. I think we decided the way we did because here in america we value youth, education and family. And that is how we made our decisions. Ultimately the people who were the youngest or had family back home stayed on. And the people who were old or didnt have family we got rid of. We also got rid of people who had a lack of education or intelligence. These decisions really showed our views on whats really important in life.
